RESOURCE CENTER
Catholic schools want and seek the best coaches for their players. As such, coaches are encouraged to take courses that improve their teaching skills. CYS will reimburse a coach for the cost of a course upon satisfactory completion of a course approved by their athletic director (AD). Coaches must obtain approval from their school's AD to get reimbursed.
Should you encounter any issues with the links on the Coach's Corner, please notify us at [email protected].
For all grade school sports, CYS philosophy is equal playing time at each game.

** Please note middle school players may only miss TWO regular season games for non-excused absences to play in post-season games. If more than two regular season games are missed the player CANNOT take part in the post-season games.
Excused absences include academics, illness, injury, funeral, school/church event, or as approved by CYS. Unexcused absences include vacation, club games or practices, birthday parties, etc. CYS has final say on what is and is not excused absences.
Additionally, we recommend to schools that any player receiving a detention during the season should not participate in the game following a detention. However, they MUST still attend the game in their uniform and cheer on their teammates but are not allowed to play that day. Attending the game and supporting the team will NOT count as an absence. If a player does not attend school on the day of a game, they cannot participate in the game.
